How come the light always shines brightest after the dark? 

Is it because a long, cold, cloudy winter increases the value of the sun simply through its perceived absence? Although it was always there, high above the clouds, a burning star, as day turns into night and into day and into night. However, in not being able to feel its warmth on the skin or needing to shield one's eyes from its light,

the sun, 

seems somehow,

gone.  

If I were to describe my life thus far I'd say that for the vast majority of it, the sun seemed to have gone on a very long, and what I feared was possibly a permanent holiday. And then I began having bars sessions. And that's when everything changed. And boy, was the light brighter and warmer and more loving than I'd ever seen before. Joy, happiness and freedom IS possible. Who would have thunk it!

I am a curious and compassionate person. My curiosity stems from a deep knowing that there is more, and wanting to know what that is. I'm a thinker and a ponderer, an observer. My compassion was born from the sadness of all too common experiences. I can see because I have felt, and I know the simple power of kindness.

I have lived overseas, studied, written a thesis and borne tiny humans.

Now I run a business for the second time. This time with a lightness and ease that is simply incomprehensible to baby me, because although I knew there was more, I never ever could have imagined how bright it could glow without all those clouds in the way.

That is what access bars does. It lifts the clouds so that you can see how bright and far the light stretches. Hope gives sucker for life.
