Your Guide to Joining Us in Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg has one main airport: Pulkovo Airport (LED)

Pulkovo Airport serves both domestic and international flights.

It really easy to order a taxi from the airport. The official taxi services are Uber Russia and Yandex Go! Please use the apps to get a great deal.

Usually the price is around 20€ to go to city center from the airport if you are using comfort + or better car.

Our hosts can also organize you a transfer and the driver will meet you at the airport with a sign.

The ruble or rouble is the currency of the Russian Federation.

Neither dollars nor euros nor any other currency are accepted as a legal payment method. It is mandatory to pay in rubles. This means exchanging your euros, dollars, or pounds into rubles, which involves fees. PLEASE BRING CASH!

Visa and MasterCard issued by foreign financial institutions cannot be used in Russia. Travelers may consider using local credit cards, cash, or other forms of payment.

Summers in Saint Petersburg are mild but humid with moderate temperatures with maximum highs around 23ºC or 73ºF and lows of 12ºC or 53ºF.


What to Bring:
 
Lightweight and breathable clothing is your best bet, and a sunhat and sunglasses are essential items. The weather can still be unpredictable, so bring a lightweight jacket and sweater for cooler evenings, and an umbrella too.
