GETTING AROUND MELBOURNE
All trams in the Melbourne CBD and Docklands are are free. If you are travelling from outside the free tram zone you will need to purchase a MYKI card. You can access the docklands via trams on Flinders Street, Collins Street or LaTrobe Street. View the tram network map HERE
City Circle Tram: Melbourne City Circle trams are free and provide a guided commentary (they are the maroon/burgundy coloured trams). Trams operate in both directions every 12 minutes between 10am and 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and between 10am and 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Taxis or Uber are other options. Taxi bookings can be made via Ingogo app.
An Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is required to enter Australia and is electronically linked to your passport. It is for short term stays for tourism or business activities. The ETA is valid for 12 months and costs AUD$20. Applications MUST be made from outside Australia. More Info
