The currency of the United States is the US Dollar. The currency code is USD and the currency symbol $.

Convert currency at your bank, or at the airport before leaving or upon arrival.

ATMs are widely available to withdraw cash. Please note exchange rates may be higher when using ATMs.

Houston in February offers a comfortable average daytime temperature of 65°F (18°C),
 dropping to 50°F (10°C) at night. 
 
February's the most humid month in Houston, with a relative humidity of 78%.  Pack your lightest most breathable clothing (natural fibres tend to be the most breathable) and add a few layering pieces like a light wrap or sweater.

✔ Layers!  Make sure that you bring layers as the outside temperature as well as your body temperature in class, may fluctuate.
✔ Walking shoes to explore the sights.
✔ Pack a jacket or sweater just in case. 
✔ Texas weather is notoriously erratic, check the weather forecast before you pack.

About Houston

Houston is a large metropolis in Texas, extending to Galveston Bay. The city’s relatively compact Downtown includes the Theater District, home to the renowned Houston Grand Opera, and the Historic District, with 19th-century architecture and upscale restaurants. Uptown includes the famous Galleria Mall.
